Seed VC/Founder Showcase: VC@Bullpen, VC@CrunchFund and CEO of Wag

At times we promote or sponsor events that we feel are valuable to our members and the startup community. This event below is organized and managed by Lifograph. Founders Floor is a sponsor of the event.

Dinner and refreshments are provided.

This event is open to: investors, startup founders, startup executives, entrepreneurs, innovators and developers. Our events sell out quickly as space is extremely limited, so RSVP early.

Please join us on July 28 for the first of our Access Silicon Valleyseries of events, “Seed Investors and Their Portfolio Companies,” where seed investors and their star portfolio companies discuss topics relevant to entrepreneurs and investors. This first event features Duncan Davidson, a serial entrepreneur and Managing Partner of Bullpen Capital (investors in Marketo, Zynga, Desk.com, Life360 and many more), Pat Gallagher, co-founder (with Michael Arrington) of Crunchfund (investors in Uber, Square, Airbnb, Tumblr, Yammer, Klout and many others) and Josh Viner, co-founder and CEO of Wag (Uber for dog walking).

Bullpen is the leader in post-seed, pre Series A funding of companies that have achieved market fit and that have an operational plan to hit big milestones within 12 months.

CrunchFund is a venture capital firm specializing in investing in seed, start-ups and early stage companies. The firm invests in information technology companies at any stage but is primarily focused on seed and early stage investments. It seeks to invest between $25,000 and $500,000. CrunchFund was founded in September 2011 and is based in Mountain View, California.

Wag is a startup that helps connect pet owners and dog walkers with a mobile app.  Wag vets dog walkers using background checks, and then insures their activities. Dog owners can schedule walks for their dogs, and track their pooch in-app while it is out on a stroll. A 30 minute walk costs $20 — Wag takes a 40 percent cut, a fee which it said is either on par with current market norms, or slightly better
