Selected companies will have 5 minutes to pitch their company, including slide deck, to the investor panel. Questions and feedback from the investor panel will follow for an additional 5 minutes. There are a limited amount of pitch slots available, so submit your pitch deck now for consideration.

Kenn So

 Shasta Ventures

Kenn’s passionate about the potential of artificial intelligence (AI). While earning his MBA degree at Kellogg School of Management, Kenn started the Artificial Intelligence Club to help students understand how AI is changing the business landscape. He also led hackathons and pitch nights to bridge the gap between engineering and business students. Kenn is excited to see and work with companies that are building smart software products that leverage AI.

Before joining Shasta Ventures, Kenn’s career ranged from looking at ‘hilariously’ early startups at Hustle Fund and helping build products for large-scale digital transformation at Boston Consulting Group to advising companies ongoing public and making acquisitions at Evercore.

Kenn grew up in the Philippines and lived across Asia. Raised in a family of restaurateurs, he is fond of family-run restaurants.




Ron Burns

Band of Angels

Ron Burns is an investor at Band of Angels where he is on the Deal Screening Committee.  Band of Angels is Silicon Valley’s oldest seed funding organization, has a portfolio that currently includes businesses such as Bioxiness Pharmaceuticals, Lumenari inc, CelLink, and Connect Homes, just to name a few.

Band of Angels has seeded over 277 companies, with 61 profitable M&A exits and 11 Nasdaq IPOs. Band members have founded companies such as Symantec, Logitech, and National Semiconductor and have been senior executives at the likes of Hewlett Packard, and Intuit. Matt Day
Founder & Managing Director, Founders Floor

Matt is Founder and Managing Director of Founders Floor, a co-working accelerator for tech startups that provides a startup ecosystem to help companies build their businesses, accelerator their growth and increase their probability for success.

Matt is a four-time founder himself, his companies have varied from developing in-store analytics by applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to consumer behavior data, to creating leading technology in interactive digital advertising. Twenty years ago, Matt’s first startup was one of the first-ever e-commerce sites to sell socks apparel online. From these experiences, Matt now enjoys helping other startups launch and grow their companies.

Though Matt has called Silicon Valley home for almost 20 years, he grew up in Iowa, earning his B.A. degree in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

VTA Light Rail is right outside our building, and runs every 20 minutes making public transportation fast and easy. Both the Mountain View-Winchester and the Alum Rock-Santa Teresa VTA light rail stop at the Santa Clara Station(s) which is located just a block away.
