With just about every startup career under his belt, Nick’s wisdom stems from years of success as the highly technical guy, the entrepreneur and the investor. He’s been a founder and CEO twice. He’s helped grow NVIDIA from less than 40 people to a $4 billion company as their Chief Software Architect. He turned to angel investing, and now we’re fortunate to have Nick with us in San Jose in his current role as Venture Partner at Ignition Partners.
Ignition is a well-known VC firm in the Bay Area that invests in startups at Seed and Series A stages. They’ve had over 60 successful exits and are actively investing out of the their fifth fund of $200 million.
You’ll hear Nick’s unique insights from his vast experience on what to expect from the fundraising process, helpful advice on managing your startup’s growth and meeting investor expectations. As well as plenty of time for your questions in an informal environment.

Nick has previously co-founded two companies and has been CEO twice. He has worked at 6 startups, and he has raised more than $10M dollars from investors. Nick co-founded ionGrid, which built software used by numerous Fortune 100 companies to enable tablets and smartphones to securely access corporate files and information. ionGrid was acquired by NetApp (NTAP) in 2013. Earlier in his career, Nick was one of the first software engineers at NVIDIA and became chief software architect as the company rose to make $4 billion per year.
